The Broad Casting event juxtaposes artists and genres in ways you would never think would work. Artists such as Buraka Som Sistema to Tony Allen to Hypnotic Brass Ensemble to Jimi Tenor to Mulatu Astatke have performed.

Kissey Poster

Hi,

My name is Kissey Asplund, I live in Scandinavia, I’m an iceprincess(?) filled with carribean winds and I love music, a minor thing besides that is that I also sing. If you want you can listen some at my myspace: www.myspace/kisseyasplund Ok! that’s the first and last time I ever drop that site.

I’m going start on here with a re-posting…I know! breaking all the blog rules now am I not! linking my on page and re-posting an old post I’ve already written on my personal blog…

But the fact is I think the subject is real important and if you like music you’ll love the info, here we go!

People, we must get better at taking home podcasts. It’s the best thing ever, it’s easy, it’s free and it’s downloadable!!

(I know some of you are doing it already, but to all that haven’t dared yet…)

All you need is:
- a program like iTunes (or know the webpage URL)
- a computer!
- a mp3 player (if you want to walk around with it)

Almost all the labels, Dj-collectives, radiostations has a rss-feed. Podcasts aren’t just only listening, it can also be video. Hey! Jamie Oliver has a videocast.

Stones Throw
e g are very good at using the podcast, they send out a lot of material, live recordings of songs etc. Being a subscriber, as soon as I turn on my iTunes it “feeds” it/downloads it to my computer. Now that is getting information straight from the label and fast:) and new music fast!

It’s easy to get into. Let me post some sites you can check out.
