On this past weekend’s show we had a special segment from our friend, DJ, producer, and tastemaker Karen P from London. She has been putting on an amazing live series called Broad Casting. The Broad Casting event juxtaposes artists and genres in ways you would never think would work. Artists such as Buraka Som Sistema to Tony Allen to Hypnotic Brass Ensemble to Jimi Tenor to Mulatu Astatke have performed.

A Final Evening with George W. Bush (sort of)

As some of you know, Will Ferrell as been playing George W. Bush for most of the eight years, and his time is coming to an end. So with these tough times, Mr. Ferrell decided not yet to give up a good thing.

He is putting on a Broadway show called “You’re Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush”. It is politically themed comedy structured as a parting address from the outgoing President.

HBO is planning air this Broadway show.

“Will Ferrell: You’re Welcome America. A Final Night With George W Bush” begins previews at the Cort Theater on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, ahead of a Feb. 5 opening.
