SXSW is becoming a monster. There are so many shows, that I would love to see, but I not going to be there this year yet again. But there is a lot of free music out there promoting different SXSW shows and performing artists.  The cats over at Afro-Punk have put together an amazing showcase at this year’s SXSW featuring Janelle Monae, Big Boi of Outkast(with a live band), Dallas Austin, K’Naan, Whole Wheat Bread, The London Souls and others.  Even though I can’t make it, at least I can hear some of the music for free in a mix created by DJ Skeet SkeetCheck it out for yourself.

Skeet is the s**t! Especially that “A Milli” remix. You should also check out my boys, Nerve and DJ Arkitekt a new group out of Minneapolis that performs a hip-hop indie rock fusion with an album set drop this summer. Having opened for national acts like Muja Messiah and Eyedea, Nerve and DJ Arkitekt are ready to win over new listeners every day.
