For all those quote “True Hip Hop Heads”, you won’t like it. But for those who know hip hop has no boundaries, this is for y’all. Snoop released a track called Snoop Dogg Millionaire. I didn’t think nothing much of it until I peeped it over at Mad Decent. My mouth dropped wide open! Snoop rapping over a sick Dubstep beat, and I mean SICK.
When I got this song from 20 year old Brit La Roux remixed by dubstep posterchild Skream, I played it at least 15 times within a couple of hours. Let me say first I’m digging La Roux’s music without the remix. She is signed to the French Label Kitsuné. She is bringing back the music from the 80’s I liked (i.e. Prince, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, etc.). She is also a 2009 BBC artist to watch.
Here in the lab we love all type of new music, but we have been feeling the dubstep sound thanks to my man Marcus from RadioMilwaukee. Cats like Skream and Benga are bringing the dubstep sound from the UK to stateside; however, there is another cat by the name of Subscape formerly Swerve [...]
