[ May 24, 2009; ] Minneapolis and St. Paul has become a city that has become a major player in Hip Hop within less than 10 years. In some cases, even bigger than Chicago partly due to the label Rhymesayers home of Atmosphere, POS, Brother Ali, and others. Also the support of the venues, bloggers, and even commercial media to some extent has helped put the Twin Cities on the map.
Minneapolis Rhymesayer and Doomtree artist P.O.S. just recently released his latest record Never Better. I have to say it is probably one of the most refreshing hip hop releases so far in 2009. I think it might have to with the fact he is from Minneapolis and also the fact he also produces or maybe it could be his punk background i.e. his other band Building Better Bombs.
