Introducing The Five One and Their 51 Remixes(not yet)

I don’t know how I miss this, but I did. From the land of my old stomping grounds, Wale, Tabi Bonney, The Five One is a band out of the DMV(DC, Maryland, Virgina). The Five One consists of 4 members represented by colors: Red, Blue, Green and Gold, and they actually wear their colors so not to be confusing.

Mr. Oizo, “$tunt$ (Flying Lotus Remix)”

A Mr. Oizo track pulled through Flying Lotus’ crazy brain — should be totally otherworldly, right? Interestingly, it’s much tamer than I would have expected. Perhaps it’s because this remix was done a couple years …

Santogold, “Lights Out (Tepr Emo Remix)”

One of my favortie albums of 2008 is Santogold’s debut album. A solid album through and through. One of my favorite tracks is Lights Out; however, everytime I hear I think of the Bud Light Lime commercial until now. France’s Tepr adds a little spice to “Lights Out” with his remix. And now no more lime beer after taste (even though it was cool that Bud used Santogold for their ad campaign). (via Analog Giant)
