[ January 17, 2009 to January 19, 2009. ] One more week, and I will be back in my second of home of Washington DC (Atlanta is my first). I will be hanging out with my friends from Howard, fellow bloggers such as The Couchsessions, and witnessing history in the making. I will be attending quite few of events including ManifestHope:DC (big ups to Lichiban).
Even though the Grammy’s ignored Santogold (they ignored Santana for over 3 decades), 2008 was a golden year for Ms. Santi White. She dominated the Urb Reader’s Poll, and countless best of 2008 lists. I saw this remix of Santogold’s “Shove It” featuring Project Pat from Three-6 Mafia over at Sound Verite. A very delightfully crunk remix.

One of my favortie albums of 2008 is Santogold’s debut album. A solid album through and through. One of my favorite tracks is Lights Out; however, everytime I hear I think of the Bud Light Lime commercial until now. France’s Tepr adds a little spice to “Lights Out” with his remix. And now no more lime beer after taste (even though it was cool that Bud used Santogold for their ad campaign). (via Analog Giant)
